What is the Chicago Yoga Collective?

The Chicago Yoga Collective (CYC) is a community-driven yoga collective designed to make yoga, mindfulness, and movement accessible to everyone. Whether you’re just starting your practice or have years of experience, our classes and events are built to help you connect with your body, mind, and the people around you.

We focus on:

  • Movement – A variety of yoga styles, from vinyasa flow to restorative and meditation-based practices.
  • Mindfulness – Breathwork, guided meditation, and deep-stretch sessions to promote balance and relaxation.
  • Community – Creating a welcoming, judgment-free space where all yogis feel at home.

How is the Chicago Yoga Collective connected to The Collective Unified?

The Chicago Yoga Collective is part of The Collective Unified, a larger network of interest-driven communities designed to bring people together through movement, creativity, and self-improvement.

While CYC focuses on yoga, mindfulness, and breathwork, The Collective Unified also includes:

Who runs the Chicago Yoga Collective?

The Chicago Yoga Collective is led by Community Leads, who organize yoga sessions, breathwork classes, and wellness events to create a supportive and welcoming space.

What do Community Leads do?

  • Plan and guide yoga sessions – Designing flows for all experience levels.
  • Host special events & workshops – Covering deep stretch, sound healing, and meditation practices.
  • Partner with studios, teachers & wellness brands – Creating exclusive experiences for the community.
  • Build a strong yoga culture – Ensuring CYC is a welcoming space for all yogis.

What types of yoga classes and events does the Chicago Yoga Collective offer?

We offer a variety of yoga styles and wellness experiences to help you move, breathe, and connect.

Types of Yoga Sessions & Events:

Do I need yoga experience to join?

Not at all! CYC is for all levels—whether you’re a first-time yogi or an experienced practitioner, our instructors provide modifications and variations so you can move at your own pace.

We hold multiple sessions per week at locations across Chicago, including:

What happens if I RSVP but can’t make it?

We get it—plans change. If you RSVP and can’t attend, please cancel your spot as soon as possible so others on the waitlist can join.

What should I bring to class?

Yoga mat – Some locations provide mats, but bringing your own is recommended.
Water bottle – Hydration is key, especially for heated or active flows.
Comfortable clothing – Wear something that allows free movement.
An open mind and positive energy – This is a space for growth and connection.
